Roma and Arsenal? We are at the beginning of July, the market is just starting, we'll see how the situations evolve." Calciomercato.it also questioned whether being a starting keeper was important in order to make the National Team and Contratto seemed optimistic about the situation: "As Emiliano has said, we trust Inter. Let's see what happens."

Another player that has expressed his desire for more playing time is Nerazzurri defender, Davide Santon. He will definitely begin preseason with the Nerazzurri and they may very well keep him." After his explanation, the agent gave his final words on Viviano: "He is very happy to be in a great team, we'll see what has between now and late August."

Calciomercato.it

Palacio to Inter, Pandev or Viviano to Genoa

The meeting between Inter and Genoa for Argentine attacker Rodrigo Palacio is now complete. "Goodbye", was the only thing uttered by Genoa president Enrico Preziosi at the end of the hour and a half meeting at the Inter headquarters. Sky also tried to speak with Inter president Massimo Moratti on his way out of his Saras office, but he too preferred to remain silent.

Another meeting is scheduled this afternoon, this time it will include the Nerazzurri president. The feeling is that the deal for Palacio is just about complete because Preziosi was joined by the player's agents and also two other Genoa officers, Capozucca and Zarbano, the men in charge of signatures. The latest news reported by Sky is that Mariga will no longer be included in the deal and the new name emerging is Emiliano Viviano, even though Inter is still trying to convince Genoa to take Goran Pandev. The reason for the switch is because Gasperini is very fond of Mariga and would like to keep him at Inter. Today could be the day that the deal closes, Palacio is extremely close to Inter. Meanwhile there was also talk about Kharja, currently at Genoa, making a possible return to Inter.

FC Inter News

Canovi: "Motta is fine at Inter."

More news from FC Inter News, covering live from Castiglioncello where FIFA agent Dario Canovi is participating as a speaker at the Media and Calciomercato event. FC Inter News was live at Castiglioncello to capture Larini's statement: "Inter asked about the player in January, but we never began negotiations because we wanted to keep the player until June," said Larini. "At that point there was an evaluation of the player which has since changed, and now it has become difficult for the Nerazzurri. Nerazzurri defender Cristian Chivu, whose contract expires in 2012 (with no negotiations being held yet), may have been targeted by Liverpool, who are in desperate need of a defender. The first name on the wish list of Kenny Dalglish was Arsenal's Gael Clichy, but it seems the Frenchman will be pushed to Manchester City, who are prepared to offer Kolarov in exchange. This has caused Dalglish to direct his attention to the second name on the list, Cristian Chivu.

Becali, the Romanian's agent, said no less than two days ago, "he will not move from Inter." However it remains to be seen what the club's position is on the defender, as Inter have still not sent any proposals for the renewal of Chivu's contract.

FC Inter 1908

Cambiasso's Agent: "It is evident that he will remain at Inter."

Peppino Tirri, agent of Esteban Cambiasso, has just sent out a clear signal to new Fenerbahce boss, Fatih Terim. The Turkish manager has been very vocal about his interest in signing the Argentine midfielder, but Tirri seems to have quelled the interest: "I have no comment to make on the words of the manager, but it seems pretty obvious that it will be extremely difficult for Cambiasso to leave Inter," said the agent, who seemed very surprised by the rumors.

Tirri was also asked by Il Sussidiario to comment on the situation of Wesley Sneijder: "At the moment there is not much to say, because I do not see any clubs that are really interested in the boy." He's analyzing the situation of each player on the roster but I think the true Inter transfer market will become more obvious after the Copa America. With regards to formation, I think Gasperini is also willing to give up on a defence of three, which he has always used in the teams he has coached. He will continue to use a defence of four and may only change the formation later on."

Rossi also expressed his views on the rumors surrounding the big players at Inter, namely Maicon and Eto'o: "I do not think much of these rumors, the only thing we can do is wait and see how the situations evolve. One thing is certain, if a big player leaves, he must be replaced with another big player and finding a player like Maicon or Eto'o is not easy."

FC Inter News

Suazo: "Thank you Moratti and Mancini. The Honduran striker, who has just finished a year without even making it to the Inter bench once, spoke about his four years with the club: "Moratti and Mancini surely believed. In fact, in the first year, I think I did well: 27 appearances and 8 goals. Mourinho made his choices, but at least gave me a chance. Benitez didn't even give me a chance. I cannot say anything about Leonardo. I was not healthy and was just working to play my best in the upcoming season. I worked well with the medical staff and with the 'Professor' Franco Combi. I am grateful."

La Gazzetta asked the attacker if he is feeling good now: "I have been playing calcetto and football with friends and I have done well and even scored goals." Although the Honduran's future is unclear, he definitely dreams of playing still: "I want to play. I have a craving. And I would like to play in Italy still. I have confidence in my agent Branchini." The strange saga of Suazo continued recently when Gasperini, a coach he had for six months when loaned to Genoa in his second season with Inter, joined Inter as he left. "Football is really strange. I hope all the best for Gasperini. He has potential to make a mark. With him I had a great time."

What will Suazo take with him after fours years at Inter? "My first scudetto in 2008, an incredible feeling as a protagonist. Also the friendships with many teammates. Most of all with Nelson Rivas who, like me, was very unlucky."

FC Inter 1908

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.nerazzurrinews.com/2011/06/suazo-thank-you-moratti-and-mancini.html' title='Suazo: "Thank you Moratti and Mancini. The latest rumor is that Roma are requesting 20 million euros for the attacker, but Inter are planning on using Pandev as a part exchange in the deal. Pandev, who is said to have recently denied a move to Genoa, really likes new Roma Sporting Director, Walter Sabatini and the Macedonian could be the ideal replacement for Vucinic. However, Pallavicino has cooled down the rumors by telling Romanews.eu: "I don't know anything. Inter have not contacted me and this subject about the player exchange has not been discussed."

Romanews.eu also asked whether or not his client would be interested in a move to Roma and just how much he was valued by Inter, but Pallavicino declined to answer: "You must ask Inter for an evaluation of the player. For everything else, there is nothing now and it is useless to talk and spread rumors around. If and when something happens, Inter will let me know and we'll talk about that possibility."

Romanews.eu

Mariga: The New Key to Palacio

The idea of Pandev or Viviano to Genoa in exchange for Rodrigo Palacio has fizzled down to nothing lately, however a new name has emerged. According to the Italian media outlet, Chelsea has now joined the list of suitors for Nerazzurri center back Lucio. The Brazilian's renewal with the club has become a long drawn out process and the London-based club is keeping a keen eye on developments.

The man behind the whole idea is none other than new boss and former Inter target, Andre Villas-Boas. The Portuguese manager has wasted no time in pushing his staff to begin negotiations with Inter for the defender. The Argentine striker is set to miss another string of games after picking up another injury on Sunday, his fifth of the season. This time, the problem appears to be much more serious, potentially sidelining the forward for 45 days. "Perhaps the more appropriate thing would have been more attention from the staff. Knowing that Pazzini cannot be used in Champions League, if I was the coach, I would not have used Milito, especially since he is not in the best condition. This is my point of view..." The doctor then offered some ideas: "The causes are many, many matches, winter temperatures and other things which can be assessed case to case. Certainly, the muscles suffer because the players play when tired. Suffice to say Milan has played 4 matches in 10 days, Inter 10 in 32. Their muscles undergo important forces, because a game is a series of spurts, pauses, changes in direction and this stresses them even more."

Il Sussidiario

The Azzurri Turns Nerazzurri

After a long drought, Inter appears to finally have put some starting players back into the Italian National Team. Based on the the last training session in Coverciano, before the players left for Dortmund, Cesare Prandelli used a 4-4-2 Diamond with three Nerazzurri players in the starting lineup. Thiago Motta was used at the base of the Diamond midfield in the training session with Andrea Ranocchia pairing Bonucci in the center of defence and Giampaolo Pazzini pairing Cassano up front.

"Wearing the Azzurri shirt gives me a feeling completely different from all those I have felt so far in football. Tomorrow will be a beautiful day for me, I feel privileged. The national anthem? I know it, but I don't know how to sing," joked Thiago Motta on the eve of his debut for Italy. "I was born in Brazil, but I'm Italian," he continued. "I am delighted to be here and so is my father who is already in Rovigo to see our family. Soon I will go there too." When asked about how he felt when Cristian Ledesma was booed by some Italian fans, the Inter midfielder defended the Lazio man: "These things are not good for the children to see them, I'm sorry because football should unite. But we, as professionals, must respect everyone, everyone has their own opinion. In any case, I repeat, I feel fully Italian."

Probable Lineup: Buffon; Cassani, Bonucci, Ranocchia, Chiellini; De Rossi, Thiago Motta, Montolivo, Mauri; Cassano, Pazzini.

Shirt Numbers:

1 - Buffon

3 - Chiellini

4 - Criscito

5 - De Rossi

6 - Mauri

7 - Pazzini

8 - Thiago Motta

9 - Matri

10 - Cassano

11 - Borriello

12 - Sirigu

13 - Astori

14 - Aquilani

15 - Ranocchia

16 - Cassani

17 - Palombo

18 - Montolivo

19 - Bonucci

20 - Maggio

21 - Giovinco

22 - Rossi

23 - Viviano

24 - Nocerino

Corriere dello Sport

Inter - Bayern: Ticket Information

Champions League will kickoff in the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza once again on Wednesday, February 23, 2011. The words of Palermo manager, Delio Rossi who was interviewed in Coverciano at the presentation of the Panchina d'Oro and Panchina d'Argento awards. "This is thanks to the players but also the coaches. Then there is this great championship that is balanced from this point of view. A league that is more Inter's to lose than Milan's because Inter have the strongest roster," the manager declared. "Roma has structure, customs and culture to fight till the end for the Scudetto. For the past two years, they had a chance to win the league until the last day. This year, the team has no less than in previous years, but others have reinforced more than Roma has. To assess whether or not Napoli will fight for the Scudetto until the end, we must understand if they can focus on only one competition here until the end of the season, because competing on multiple fronts is not easy, especially if you do not have a roster that you can rotate like the big clubs."

Mediagol

Redemption of Kharja is Certain

The excellent start for Houssine Kharja at Inter has already convinced Nerazzurri director Marco Branca to make the loan deal permanent at the end of the season. No, what is supernatural is how he plays for 90 minutes on all fronts: defence, midfield, attack, he is a star and gregarious. The key to the tactics of Mou and, now, Leo.

JULIO CESAR: 7

It would have been an 8 for the miracle triple save on Menez-Borriello-Menez in two seconds. He lost some shots during the Roman assault.

MAICON: 6

Out anticipated by Simplicio on the 1-1. Again grinding out kilometers and supported during the assault by Roma. Did not create havoc.

RANOCCHIA: 6.5

Started bad, using the "bad" on Borriello. A couple of empty challenges, then recovered and became important for the defensive maintenance.

CORDOBA: 6

When Borriello was mobile, he suffered. Following Vucinic risked being sucked out of the penalty area. Too much experience.

ZANETTI: 6.5

At the end, we saw him eradicate the ball and restart the attack, but when Vucinic was at the tip of the attack, he was difficult even for Zanetti. However he reacted and gave order.

KHARJA: 6.5

In rhythm from the first minute, they may have to give him a drug test soon. Beautiful tackle on Simplicio and did a great job to free Sneijder.

THIAGO MOTTA: 6.5

Out of phase for 45 minutes, also lost the ball for the 1-1 during that time, then climbed into the seat of authority, managing all the difficult moments. And the goal.

CAMBIASSO: 7

Center midfielder or inside forward, do not change. Denial, depth, and added a goal for the attack. In addition, stayed centralized to help Motta.

SNEIJDER: 7.5

Three minutes and invented a goal that directed the match. Speeds up the maneuvers with first touches, cuts, feints, dribbling. Decisive.

PAZZINI: 6

Less gritty than his debut. Only entered the game at the end when he drew the penalty. Then Julio Sergio denied a goal that was close.

MILITO: 5

In for Pazzini, still seemed sad and lonely. Last year he would go and take the ball, now he simply waits.

NAGATOMO: 6

A quarter of an hour to measure the make up of the left wingback and he invented two attacks against Cassetti, who was a bit tired.

La Gazzetta dello Sport

Gazzetta Ratings: Bari 0-3 Inter, Eto'o on Top Again

The unstoppable Pazzo: "We must go on with this hunger," said Giampaolo Pazzini, who has scored 3 goals in his first two matches with Inter. "Winning today was too important, especially given the results of others. Here, there is a crazy wish to win." The number 7 put in a 7/10 performance for Inter, good stuff. The comeback continues...

LEONARDO: 5.5

Still tweaking and correcting the squad, one hour of a striker trident. Slow rhythm and without any real scoring chances, is a dangerous offering. Then everything was more logical.

ETO'O: 7

The best. Searched for a crossing position, the area of proficiency with Milito and Pazzini, then finds it and draws fouls and defenders like magnets. Rossi took away his goal, but found Kharja.

JULIO CESAR: 6.5

Flew on the free kick by Almiron, fisted away Gazzi. Performance sweeps any doubts, as good as a goal scored later on.

MAICON: 6.5

More consistent. Parisi was in the kennel. He engaged in various attacks and was necessary. Pity he did not see Eto'o on one occasion.

RANOCCHIA: 6

Bari crept to his side more often, but he was always arranged. A couple of uncertainties but escaped with class.

MATERAZZI: 6

Governance by experience, fixed a couple of difficult situations. Commanded, but not everything can start with his shots.

CHIVU: 4

Yes, played well before and after the incomprehensible and unforgivable rapture. Well done to apologize after.

ZANETTI: 7

Had a team that was a bit split in two and he made sure not to make it feel that way. A wall on Okaka launched a trademark run.

THIAGO MOTTA: 6

Still playing low. Stitches with his time, not Samba, but lucid until the end when he made the pass for the 2-0.

KHARJA: 7

Fluctuating. Pretty good for parts, seemed flooded, but was reborn when close to the goal where it hurts. Goal and assist, enough?

PAZZINI: 6.5

Far from goal for awhile, but went and looked for the balls that would not come to him and worked hard. Award? His 99th official goal.

MILITO: 5

It is as if he missed the moment, even when they seek him out. Cannot find depth or the correct side of the ball.

SNEIJDER: 6

Injured on December 15th and now, 50 days later, scores almost immediately. A better breaking-in performance is impossible.

CAMBIASSO: N/A

Inserted for the final resistance and also to 'warm up' for the Roma match.

La Gazzetta dello Sport

Referee: Tagliavento Will Direct Inter-Roma

Paolo Tagliavento will be in charge of Inter's crucial fixture against Roma on Sunday. The official has made the calls in 11 Serie A matches so far this season, handing out a staggering 50 yellow cards and 5 red cards. The 39-year-old referee has been in charge of two Inter games so far this season, the 1-0 win at Cagliari and the 1-0 loss in the Derby della Madonnina, the match that included an off the ball incident where Abate saw red for Milan. Roma has only seen Tagliavento once this year, in a 2-0 loss at Napoli back in October. This will be the first time Tagliavento will direct a Serie A match between Inter and Roma. His assistants will be Cristiano Copelli and Elenito Di Liberatore. The fourth official will be Antonio Damato.

CalcioLine

Cordoba Recovers, Ready to Face Roma

With the bad news of the courts ruling Cristian Chivu out for four matches, comes good news for Leonardo from the infirmary. Forced to deal with the loss of Brazilian center back Lucio, out due to a pulled muscle, Leornardo may be boosted by the return of Ivan Cordoba, who has made a speedy recovery and participated in the full training session with his teammates this morning. Although the match officials did not see the incident, the suspension was given after television cameras caught Chivu throwing a vicious punch at Rossi after an Inter free kick just outside the Bari penalty area. The Nerazzurri defender has already issued a public apology to Rossi, along with his Inter teammates and his family, but Inter manager Leonardo has already stated that they will still discuss this internally and decide if a further punishment is necessary.

MSN

Nagatomo: "My dream, the World Champions. "Inter is the club I wanted. The club champion of the World, I am very proud to have arrived here." These were the first words of Yuto Nagatomo in the conference room of the Centro Sportivo Angelo Moratti in the Appiano Gentile, which was literally invaded by reporters. Many, of course, were Japanese, sent to closely monitor their hero. Nagatomo answered questions from the journalists, seated alongside his new manager Leonardo, technical director Marco Branca and sporting director Piero Ausilio.

"On behalf of our President Massimo Moratti and Inter, we all welcome Yuto, we are convinced that his experience in the Nerazzurri shirt will be fantastic for him and for us," said Branca at the beginning of the presentation. "They are all very kind to me, I am finding it very well, both from a personal point of view and that of a technical, the start was really good," added the Japanese defender and then continued on: "I work a lot, I am one who never holds back. I am a fast player, who is always ready in one-on-one situations if necessary. On a personal level, I am very sociable. And now, I cannot wait to take the field. I am available to the coach, when they are ready."

inter.it

<link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://www.nerazzurrinews.com/2011/02/nagatomo-my-dream-world-champions-ready.html' title='Nagatomo: "My dream, the World Champions.
